I am a Muscle Car man but i love my cossies they was the most talked about car in my youth. And when they came out with the Escort Cossie in 1992 Ford's Street cred went through the roof. Fords best Era 1986-1996 you had RS Turbos, Capri 2.8s, XR4x4s Cosworths Sierra and Escort and the R200.. those 10 years was very cool

I would consider myself as next generation being 18 and this is what I’m all about. 80s and 90s is what I love... group B is the ultimate for me, and produced some of my favourite cars, the metro 6r4 being my favourite of them all if I was forced to pick. It’s sad to me that the interest in this era doesn’t seem to be present in people my age and younger. Don’t get me wrong I love the modern cars of today with passion but there is just something golden about the 80s and 90s era that produced some very incredible cars (monsters 😂) which paved the way for the cars of today. I hope this generation learns to love classics like the Sierra and they don’t get lost. We need to appreciate these cars they really are something very special. Really top stuff your doing on this channel, I enjoy every video I watch and love the passion and enthusiasm. Keep up the awesome work.

great to see a near-stock example! the exhaust is quiet but that's how Ford intended it for the road version. they also wanted it to be 180bhp but Cosworth declined and said no less than 204bhp.

Ricky, I think that what makes your channel so good is it's extremely relatable. You're just a normal guy who loves cars, experiencing all these amazing vehicles and giving honest reactions. It's a similar sort of experience as if we, the viewer, were getting to try these cars ourselves. Some channels might have tons of rich people or loaned hypercars, but your content with people's modded dailies or projects and classics like this is much more real. No one is doing it like you and the growth of this channel reflects that. Already over 120k after breaking 100 such a short time ago; you're going to be big very soon brother.

I'm amazed that parts for this car, used or otherwise, aren't just lining the shelves, as a young teenage lad the Sierra accounted for about one in every three cars on the road, now you are having to pay £150 for a gear knob! A great car in it's day and still showing plenty a clean pair of heels, I'm just blown away by some of the prices your talking about, thumbs up for keeping it real and giving it some stick on the road as Ford intended

The only problem with not taking it back to a shell and restoring it properly is that your going to be left with a rotter eventually. Well worth stripping down a car like this for a proper restore. What a review Ricky. Nice one fella! Love this thing.

I think they will always be desirable as classics but i don't think the values will go the same way, not only were there more of them to start with but cars last much better than they used to and people are much more aware of the collector market these days so stuff isn't just thrown away anymore. Performance doesn't always go hand in hand with value either, my W210 E55 AMG estate car is rare (Just over 200 sold in the UK) and fast, it has 350bhp and a sub 6 seconds to 60mph time but its not worth anything, you can buy them for less than four grand if you look around. I'm not sure why some stuff goes up in value so I could be very very wrong of course, it's enjoyable to argue about it though. ;)

My dad's mate had an escort rs back in the day. Ever since then I always loved a fast ford so as I'm older I had to get a focus st 225 love the car done a few things to it to make it a bit more special. Great video Ricky.

He's got a authentic car which is used a few times a month for pleasure and events. My friend owns the RS 500 model of this car and i remember always seeing him driving it around and for car shows and just too enjoy. His paint was looking a bit tatty round the edges and forked out for a full respray. I think since his respray he has taken it out 5 or 6 times in the past 5 so years. It's ok going for the nice shiny paint but once you do that on a classic your usage will go down and it becomes something you look at more than you enjoy being out on the road. From the sounds of it this chap looks at it the same way.
