1987 Toyota Van LE 4x4 Turbo in Little Moab, Utah

My brother and I on a 4x4 test drive in Little Moab, Utah. Other than the tires rubbing the back wheel wells, everything went peachy.
The Van is on 30x9.50R15s, and has the stock 4ye 2.2 engine (rebuilt) with an IHI VF39 turbo off of a Suburu WRX STI.

What an awesome machine! That has to be such a unique off-roading experience.. The position directly over the front axle has to make articulation and 3 wheeling feel way more exaggerated and scary.

and it makes it impossible to work on unless you remove the front seats, you sit on top of the engine compartment. I use to confuse the hell out of Jiffy Lube when id go in for an oil change. Finding the brake fluid hatch was impossible.lol. They would look all over for a hood release and it didnt have one

@@TrumpAndKamila these are a Torsion front end, on the quick you can adjust the keys for more ride height, but you get more preload too. There's a trick about milling off the upper ball joint, and cleaning it up to take a pickup/4Runner ball joint. From there you can run the same poor-man ball joint spacers as them, pushing the steering knuckle further down, equalling more lift without destroying all of the camber. The rear generally is Moog Ford Aerostar cargo coils, with the curled ends cut to fit the bucket.

Francis The snorkel is made from 3 inch exhaust tubing. It's bent to follow the contour of the van. At the bottom I recessed it into the body.

These wheels are zero offset trailer wheels (4000 pound a piece weight rating). I bent too many samurai/tracker wheels and stopped buying them. I miss my Toyota camper special so. Unfortunately I was at a shity place in my life and I sold drugs. My van was used to facilitate selling drugs so it was taken,q long story short I've been clean 14 years now and I just can't stop thinking about what I want to do, you know put some Supra rims on it and split the exhaust and make a littleliving space inside .you guys so inspire me. I'm jumping in headfirst the landlord has found rotten beams under the house and black mold so weird evicted at the end of this month and like a lot of people out there I live from paycheck to paycheck so it's the first night I get the van is the first night I sleep in it so it'll be a work in progress feedback would be appreciated let me know what you think

I drove 1/2 million on mine. Body rusted out rear door/window first. Then the bracket holding the spare.

They are actually 30's. I plan to swap the front for a solid axle and lift it maybe two more inches. When I do that I may go to 31's or 32's, possibly 33's.
