Thats a automated transmission switch. Sport / Economy / Gear 3-2-1 mode 4 speed manual, gear no#4 has got an automated switch for a fixed transmission (no hydraulic lose of power). The transmission you see here is the more modern version of the E30 automatic. My 325i Convertible Automated Transmission (1988) got the simpler version - without this button. The transmission is very long on the 4th gear. More or less you will have to use gear 1-2-3 if you want to accellerate. Gear 4 is like an overdrive saving fuel. Beeing faster than 120 kph is very noisy anyways. My 325i ran more than 210 km/ h on the speedo as i recon 😊

Erinnerungen werden wach. Habe zwei 325i Cabrio von 1987 - 1996 als Schaltwagen gefahren. Ab ca. 3.700 U/Min. erwachte der Motor zum Leben.

@@vwfreakjonnyhast dich gerettet 😅 in e30 kreisen is das wort coupe ein rotes tuch. sehr nerdy 😂🎉 - aber fachlich korrekt, da es keine eigene coupe form gab - wie etwa bein e36 nachfolger 😂
