1988 Cutlass Supreme Brougham (Classic) Last Edition

Memories of 1987. My sister had a 86 Cutlass Supreme. I was 15 and use to "borrow" it to go see some trim. It was a 3.8 V6 but it was butter smooth. Loved cruising that car. Yours is extra straight.

This really takes me back to 1981. That year I bought an '81 Cutlass Supreme Brougham Diesel in this exact color combination but without the sunroof. I loved the style of those cars and I'm sure that's why there were so many of them around at that time...They just had such a classy look about them!

Absolutely beautiful ! These G are B bodies from GM are becoming popular amongst car collectors today . I still own and drive my 81 Oldsmobile Delta 88 sedan in the summer regularly .

I owned a '84 Brougham, same color exterior but dark sable interior and 3.8 V6 for 29 years. Showed for 10 years , collected 19 trophies. Enjoyed the years and the shows

@@retrodiscovery My car developed some engine problems & one day I looked in the trunk at 1/2 the engine laying in there & said, "I've had a good run." and sold the car as was. Sometimes I do miss it, but it's fun to go to shows knowing I don't have to clean it up going or coming home!

Miss my 81 2 door cutlass it had t-topswhich i dont like i prefer a hard-top any day no hole in the roof for me.😢 but i got an 84 with a 72 olds 350 in it with a ford 9inch rear end with 373 gears and now im going to upgrade to a holley sniper efi 💪🏾💪🏾ditching my carburetor 😅😅

I'm old enough to have bought four of these; three new. My first car was an '80 Supreme used. Traded that on a new '83 Supreme and traded that on a new '84 Calais. Traded that on a new '87 442 which I still own. The common issue with the last three was the paint. The paint failed on all three within a year. The 442 had the lower silver paint cracked in the showroom and it was only built that month. These cars were so popular you couldn't throw a rock without hitting one. I always thought they looked the best of the other competing G-Bodies. I take the 442 out about twice a month these days. I pretty much never see an '80s Cutlass on the road... hopefully many still exist in garages and under car covers. This is a great example of the '88 "Cutlass Supreme Classic." It was odd to see them in the same dealership as the down-sized 98s & 88s... they really didn't fit the Olds future any more.

This car is truly the last of the best G body Oldsmobiles. I have to admit i hate when owners take out the original stereos and put some stupid Sony Explode in the dash which makes it look ridiculous in my honest opinion. I would put it back to stock. The factory moonroof option was extremely expensive at that time hence why it's so rare to see. This car should be restored back to it's former glory and taken to car shows. What a beautiful beautiful Last edition Cutlass.

Does anyone know what those moldings ontop of each of front fender are? Is it just decor? They kinda look like windshield wiper sprayers . I've seen several Cutlass's with them , specially on 86, 87 and 88 with euro clip. It's rare but some Cadillacs and Buick's have them as well
