Hit and Run is term/slang for ambush and harassment tactics in warfare. Strike and fade. Also, the detail between the receiver and hand guards on the weapon is the retaining ring that stops the hand guard from falling off

Thanks for the retaining ring info - it was on the tip of my tongue! The file card has a pretty accurate description of the H&R tactic. I didn't mean to emphasize the character's tragic past over that, it just seemed in poor taste to me. Rather than change his codename, it should have removed the "orphaned by a drunk driver" bit.

That piece on the weapon you were talking about is the slip ring. It keeps the hand guards on. When you pull it back, you can remove the hand guards.

I remember how happy I was, when I was a kid, to get this figure. So much fun getting that rope tangled all the time. Although, I remember it coming with camouflage face paint for some reason. Awesome review!!!

I obtained as many figures at garage sales as I did in stores. Hit and Run was one of the one I purchased new. I remember the rifle, the knife and the climbing rope but I don't remeber the duffle bag.

Nice Job! Sadly by 1988 I was done with the GI Joe toys. I still collected the comics, but the figures and vehicles had gone too "futuristic" for my taste.

I think "Hit & Run" is used more as a fighting term more so then a criminal act in this case. For instance he Hits cobra hard and Runs. That's just my thinking on it. Love your videos your a wealth of knowledge. You are the first and only reviewer I have ever subscribed to in any shape form or fashion. Your videos got me back into G.I. Joe after a 20+ year hiatus.

Nice review as always but you didn't go over the actual figure as detailed as you done with the other reviews. You concentrated more in the accessories.

Thanks for watching! I did try to collect the vintage SW figures, but I sold them a long time ago. When I started to collect in the '90's, they became way too expensive - one of the reasons I started GI Joe collecting!

formbx257 they are expensive right now, but I think the price has been driven up by the announcement of the new films and a lot of wanna be collectors, on ebay people with less than 100 feedback are driving up the prices. the gi joe prices went up after the first film came out, but they finally stabilized a little bit. ' I checked out the target exclusive in your video it was selling for 400.00 and just the full card was 175.00, I couldn't believe it. I saw the ending on blip, I saw the iron grenadier, are we going to see a review of the d.e.m.o.n.?

An absolutely perfect condition moc Hit&Run Target exclusive recently sold for $1300 (but it was bundled with a regular moc Hit&Run). Some Hit&Run Target exclusives that have minor flaws can't get more than $500. A moc Ultimate Enemies with flaws recently went for $750. These are all Ebay prices, they may be higher or lower at toy shows or online sites.
