Good torque in these motors man , my old account was Alex fig down below use to rip on these motors cuz my friend had a beater 2.3 stand but I have a ranger with a 2.3 lima and it sounds downright mean for a 4cyl

Unlike a mass air 5.0, these EFI 2.3's have factory speed density computer systems that can't adjust for mods, including bigger injectors. Can get by with a header and a Ranger cam swap though. However, the only advantage of the Ranger cam is being a roller, provides no gain in lift or duration. A true performance build of an EFI 2.3 requires an aftermarket programmable computer system, or better yet, go the turbo route to keep great street drivability.

Is it possible to get an intake manifold spacer? I have access to a lathe machine and I can finally do some mods to my 89 mustang 2.3 liter. What are the best mods to do without going with a turbo? I just want to increase the Horse power to around a little over 100 or so.

I know this is 10 years late but this isn’t the turbo Lima motor, the thunderbird has that. The mustang LX came with a N/A 2.3 Lima motor

I had 93 mustang/90 ranger swap only issue was coil packs were different locations

PureCountryof91 duratec is a 2.3. 2.5 is a Lima the same as the older 2.3s.
