I met Patricia in 1983 when the Gun Club toured Australia, our band supporting them on their farewell show at the Paddington Green Hotel in Sydney before they returned to LA. She is a remarkably warm, kind and generous human, but with huge amounts of inner resilience. She remained very grounded throughout the chaos that ensued during the tour, as Geoffrey often went missing at crucial times.

The real thing was VAMPIRA, Patricia actually was trained by Vampira to be her successor as tv-host, but the tv station decided that they'd rather pick up Elvira. And yes, Elvira was modelled after the look of Patricia, but Vampira gave her the look. There is a whole chapter on that in the "Glamour Ghoul" Biography of Maila Nurmi(Vampira)

I have you laugh at you folks who say she is "too short" or doesn't have the body type to be a model. Beauty is beauty is beauty. It comes in all sizes, colors and shapes. Who decided that a woman has to be a certain height or have a certain body type to be a model? The overwhelming majority of women in the world are not 6 feet tall and 90 pounds. They may have played down the goth category but their music was a mainstay at the legendary goth/Industrial City Club in Detroit where I was a regular from 1998- 2008 ish. Especially “This Corrosion” was a huge favorite from the late 90s until around 2005 when the crowd started to change. Even then The Sisters would still get play. Haven’t been to a club since 2012 so I’m not sure if the kids today like the Sistrs. Oh, and I had the biggest crush on Patricia back in the day. Heck, I’m 49 years old, happily married, and I still have a crush on her. Lol. Her and Anka Wolbert.

Supported her solo band back in 1993 at The Garage in London. She got royally screwed by the session guys she hired (mostly Nitzer Ebb) charging her big session fees I think. Married Dave Vanian and gracefully retired from The Damned a few years back. My other half used to get mistaken for her "back in the day"!

Patricia let herself be embarrassed by the interviewer's only somewhat untactful question, something that never could happen to Andrew. And quite rightly should she have felt embarrassed for shooting a historically exotic video, and the first ever for the country of Jordan, yet staying clueless as to where exactly she had been. No, Al Khazneh is not a monument, it's a temple fer chrissakes, and yes, it was perfectly retarded to go on an expensive journey to the other side of the world for the vista of some mystical exotic location and not have the inkling to at least look up some basic info on the place. At least she had going for her that she was't half as ignorant as she was beautiful.

Ouch! a little harsh, aren't we? Back in those days there wasn't google. Guess what...there are many countries and places in the world with a lot of history but I'm sure you don't know about many of them. Does one actually have to do historic research about the place that one goes to or can't just one enjoy oneself and ...soak it all in? Who knows what she had going on in her life? Why do people take it personally if ...people coming to another country haven't actually studied the country's history? Do you actually think that bands that tour in other countries or shoot videos there actually want to study that country's history? The world can be a pretty grim and people have their...responsibilties and dramas. I'd say more but I'm tired. Good luck!
