The Rx 7 in this race was built two doors down from where I lived in the mid-eighties, I even went for a drive around the block in it one day after school. Barry Campbell built a lot of cars in the sports sedan series

The Aussie version of the UK’s Thunder saloons, wide bodies, big V8s or big turbos. The Vauxhall factory dipped a toe into the series too. A can-a series for saloons.

Familiar cars and names. I raced against most of those cars and or drivers inc James Philip who got a better and was on similar speed to the lead cars. That Alfa was a true handgrenade,, very fast until it blew up!! Domonic could drive a little too!! It was a loose thing. And the Jag seemed to have the oil spray on as well!
