1989-1995 Toyota Pickup 3rd Brake Light LED Upgrade | Housing Replacement

In this video I replace the broken 3ed brake light housing and also upgrade the light to LED.
LED insert is from an amazon 3rd brake light for a 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Wish it were so easy for my S10. Gotta pull the headliner down to replace it with the LED unit I bought.

Yeah, kinda glad the Sonoma is an Ex-Cab. Lot easier to replace the lenses & swap bulbs... However not a lot of options and no drop in LED housings. The cheap LEDs boards I put in mine, one of them died fairly quickly. Most likely a broken wire on the festoon bulb adapter, but I never cared to replace it since it has 2 of them, and since I don't plant to keep the Sonoma much longer I'll just leave it like it is.

@@DanielPace92 I put LED bulbs in, they lasted a while. Found a decent looking pure LED unit. Just haven’t wanted to tear into my truck yet. Thinking I should get some sound deadener before I do it.

@@rockymtnredneck4888 Yeah, sound deadener would definitely be a good choice. I definitely need to get some for the Yota, it's quiet enough for what it is but the only sound insolation the thing has is the backing of the carpet.
