It's a one-seater? That's unfortunate. The ToyBiz Batmobile from the original 1989 toyline was a two-seater. Also, fun fact: the 1989 batmobile IS actually much much less shiny than you might think. The 1992 Returns batmobile is actually the shiny one. Referring to the movie appearances, not the ToyBiz or Kenner toys. I don't remember if it's appearance in the new 2023 movie is very shiny or not.

I regret not buying a Kenner or Toy Biz one before this movie, because the prices are probably astronomical now for it. Got one for a friend 10 years ago in box for under 50. Not anymore!

This Batmobile will accommodate the Mattel masterverse 3 3/4” Keaton 89 Batman figure! So it’s perfect..however it’s supposed to be a tad bigger scale-wise, because it’s in fact a two seater in real life…. It’s PERFECT with the 1989 matte finish! More like the finish in the film Vs the returns version My only gripe is that the finish allows scratches to easily mar the surface… There’s n r/c version that has all the bells and whistles (not die cast) but that’s probably why this is bare bones

Agree with everything you said here, wish something could be done about the finish on it. I bet some industrious customizer figured it out, but as is, it gets the job done.

I bought a McFarlane Gold Label 1989 Batman/ Batmobile for $66.00 on Ebay yesterday on Thursday the 27th of June

I wonder if the difference between the two batmobiles is because of inflation. Because of inflation Spin Masters made some cuts to make it "affordable" because the Pattison batmobile is a amazing deal at $29.99 (size and electronics) when new vs $32.99 for the Keaton Batmobile (empty Shell). Also you can see the inflation making its presence known in the difference between the two batman action figures. Keatons action figure is smaller vs Pattinson....Sucks to see that happen.

The Batman Batmobile was actually 10 right now on Amazon, I did a review all about that vehicle which I recommend if you're into these. I doubt this will drop that low because of the popularity of the 89 design, but they did their best to keep the cost down without forsaking too much. But yes, you can definitely see where they cut those costs.
