1989 BMW E24 M635 CSI Highline

Just 524 right-hand-drive examples were built between 1984 and 1989. Unique amongst sports coupes, the M635 offers an unrivalled blend of exclusivity, build quality, practicality and performance. Four ‘proper’ seats, a commodious boot and a lavish array of creature comforts all added to the practicality whilst the much revered 3.5 litre 24-valve 286bhp engine delivered the excitement.
This sporting thoroughbred could sprint to sixty in six seconds and, in an awesome display of torque, pull smoothly and increasingly rapidly from 25mph to 158mph in fifth gear.
Overtaking ability was equally impressive with 30-70mph taking a mere 5.5 seconds. A Getrag sport gearbox (no auto option), limited slip diff, Bilstein gas-filled dampers, Motorsport springs, larger roll bars, bigger front ventilated discs with M1-spec 4-pot calipers, larger 415mm TRX wheels, wheel arch extensions with front and rear spoilers are all testimony to a proud racing heritage.

Proud owner here of a 1985 M635CSi in Montreal,Canada. 175 000 km and running perfectly.Imported from Germany in 2000. They don't make them like that anymore !!! Golden era for BMW.

I hope I don't upset people but the wheels and especially the radio are shocking who needs a radio when you can hear the sound of engine ,that's music,, it's sacrilege that those 2 small details are on this gem of a car

Remember the e24 didn't as standard come with a radio from factory. Back in the day it would come with a blanking plaque with the idea being you install whatever head unit you like if one wasn't specced from new.

@@jacmar44 at 70 years old I have owned my m6 e24 for 22 years,the only time the radio should be used is when my wife tells me I'm going to fast
