Let's go for an rainy afternoon drive in this lovely 1989 Buick Electra Park Avenue! With 75k miles and finished in Claret Red Metallic Clearcoat with matching red velour interior and well-appointed with dual power seats, wire wheel covers, and a nice-quality recent refinish, this Park Avenue.
Riding GM's premium front-drive C-Body architecture shared with front-drive Cadillac's and Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight, the Park Avenue was the popular 'mid-level' trim between the base Electra and extra-plush Ultra.
With generous room for six, a powerful 3.8l V6, smooth 4-speed automatic, and unexpected comforts like 8-way power seats, electronic climate control, Twilight Sentinel, and premium Concert Sound II audio system, this big Buick is regarded as one of the finest products from General Motors in modern times.
This particular Park Avenue was purchased new in Pennsylvania where it was driven sparingly and accumulated 50k miles over the course of fifteen years. It came to Florida to its second owner in 2015 and has been here ever since. Enjoying a refinished exterior within the past 10 months, this car has been pampered and it shows with the majority of electronic options working as intended.
This makes a great addition to your Buick collection, a beautiful driver to enjoy, and a real treat to own to anyone who enjoys these great little luxury sedans!
Enjoy this video walkaround and drive and, as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to call/text me at 727-226-3097.
See you on the road!

My first car. Got it off my dad when I was 17. Everyone called it my “old man car.” It rode like a cloud, so comfortable. Handled well. Kickass sound system. Loud ass train horn too. The electroluminescent opera lights were very unique. This car brings me back, loved it.

My parents had this exact same color and year. I always luved this vehicle so much luxury and space the seats inside this vehicle are out of this world you can't find cars like this anymore the car makers now are more concerned about technology than comfort.

I loved those cars. My aunt had an ‘85 and a ‘90. Loved those Rivieras like the one in the background too.

Back in the late 1990's I had a 1988 Park Avenue with just over 89k miles I bought from an elderly man who purchased it brand new. The car had leather interior, electronic level control, and drove like it was brand new. I was in my early 20's at the time, and had a blast packing it full of friends and going on road trips. I could pack the cabin with 6 people, pack the trunk full of our belongings, and the air suspension would level the car out perfectly so it didn't even feel like the car had any more than 1 person in it. After I traded it in a few years later, I happened to run into the guy who bought it from the auction the dealership sold it to. He told me it was the best driving car he'd ever owned, and he drove it regularly between Seattle and San Francisco. By this time, he had already put over 300k miles on it, and it still ran like a watch. Say what you will about this generation of Park Avenue/Regency/Sedan deVille/whatever... Aside from the build quality, these cars were absolutely solid. Out of all the cars I've ever owned, the '88 Park Avenue is the one I regret trading in the most.

I bought a 2 owner 1988 this spring. the 89 your showing seems the same as mine. Mine has 125000 miles, My radio had to be replaced, I got an exact factory one out of a Camero and a Cadillac think I used the Cadillac. good reception , & the cassette works. The only flaw in the original paint is the peeling on the hood. and mech. heat & air don't work. I use it every time I go to my sons house, as it's a bumpy 100 miles down & I don't even notice the bumps, the reason I forked out almost 2000 for it. and the reliability they say the 3800 engine has, mine pre 1st gen 3800 engine uses no oil. I had to drive it 1000 miles home, from the south to the midwest. 34 yr old car gave me no problems, just needed a blanket as I got into Wisconsin. It has that wierd automatic heat /air control / the control's, been replaced as rear window defroster won't come on, still no heat

The 3800 was a popular engine from what i hear. I have a 91 buick LeSabre, same 3800 engine and i have a heater issue too. Maybe bad thermostat, but i also have a leaky intake gasket currently. Getting ready to replace gasket, and that may solve the heater issue because i am losing antifreeze from the leaky intake gaskets.

These are great cars. My grandpa had an '88 from around 1995 till my grandpa's death in 2003 when it was sold. One time in the late 90's when the car was left at a car repair place, some thieves stole it and used it as a getaway car. They ended up crashing it through a fence and the only damage was a few scratches.

Next time you decide to remove and or replace the badging, heat the badge with a hairdryer. It’ll soften up the adhesive, allowing it to be easily removed/replaced. You’ll never have to worry about pulling up paint or leaving adhesive/residue.

I always loved these bodystyle fwd(Buick LeSabre Buick Park Avenue Oldsmobile Delta 88 & Oldsmobile 98) that says a lot because I'm not a fwd vehicle fan but these were very appealing when they came out i use to think the Regency 98 was a Cadillac because it was so classy in New Orleans we use to call the 88 & 98 the "short 88/98" or "baby 88/98" to distinguish them from the rwd 98 & 88 i had a 90 Delta 88 Royale in that same color i wish i could find a 88-90 Oldsmobile 98 Regency with a sunroof i found one in Mississippi a while back it was in excellent condition but it was priced at $8995 i can buy a 07-09 Mercedes Benz S550 for that price 😆

Nice car. Why do those old american cars' headliners get sagging so often? (I hope I wrote that well, I'm still learning english)
@longwalkshortpier
@longwalkshortpier 3 жыл бұрын
it's foam backed cloth. The foam deteriorates over time and separates from the cloth. High humidity and driving with windows down aggravates the issue. I have replaced many GM headliners from this era. Several cloth retailers like Joann fabrics sell foam backed headliner fabric.

@unarmed blackman make sure you use heat resistant glue spray from 3M. Home Depot aisle has several versions and one with headliner specific. Otherwise hot weather will release right away.

Nice car, but why would you not repair those somple things? Spending a couple bucks on the radio and antenna would bring A LOT more money. People see the con when you try to convince them that these are just "little" things. On an old car, the "little" things make the sale.
