1989 Dino in Concert, Calvary Baptist Temple, Savannah, GA

Dino Kartsonakis performs a hurricane relief concert at Calvary Baptist Temple, Savannah, Georgia, to benefit those affected by Hurricane Hugo. October 1, 1989.
Video features Dino in Sunday morning worship (being held in the gymnasium as the church was under construction of a new worship center), and the full concert held in the smaller, existing worship center.
Special impromptu guest at the concert was Savannah Mayor John Rousakis, who was recruited to attend the concert upon realizing the common Greek heritage between Dino and the mayor.

I live in South Carolina. I slept thru Hugo, but not because it wasn’t a bad storm. I was recovering from a bad car accident and was on pain killers. This brought back so many memories. Good and bad. I had only been about a year and a half or so started listening to Dino when this video was done. I had seen one of his concerts when he performed in a local high school auditorium where I live. I still follow him today. His ministry has been a big blessing to people all around the world.

I was happy to see the Bösendorfer concert grand (vs. the baby grand he was on earlier) truly befitting the talent of the one & only Dino. I do understand the logistical issues going on at that time. I appreciate this upload & the inspired performance of Dino.

They had random men moving the piano? Wow! Usually they have professional piano movers do so because they are rather fragile and will need a tuning too. This was so fun to watch! I was 4 or 5 during this concert. I’ve been a fan for as long as I can remember.
