1989 Honda GB500. One of ~3,000 that were made

Installed a Mikuni TM40-6 (flat slide pumper carb). That was a difficult install. I plan to ride it at Bikes On the Bricks next weekend.

What was the difficulty in the Mikuni install? My stock one needs rejetted after rust got in but I'm thinking of replacing it with the Mikuni. Thanks!
