It was merely a rebrand of the original Quattro. As far as I know the only Audi 90 part was the roof.

mich würde mal interessieren, ob jüngere rennsportfans (die heute um die 20 sind) ebenfalls finden, dass die autos in dieser zeit so ende 80er einen ganz speziellen charme hatten, oder ob das an den eigenen kindheitserinnerungen liegt finde eigtl alle rennautos von damals bis heute mega, aber jene aus dieser ära finde ich einfach am geilsten, siehe auch gruppe C etc.

Ja aufjedenfall die 80er und ihre Turboboliden. Die Zeit wo Turbo ein Begriff für Schnelligkeit war. Egal ob Gruppe B, IMSA, oder Straßenautos wie den Skyline GTR R32, Audi Sport Quattro, Porsche 959, Ferrari F40 etc.

nicht mehr all zu viele. Heute feiern sie alle VAG und furzende Mercedes. Bin selber 19 Jahre jung, habe mir einen 635 CSI mit ori. BBS erarbeitet. Gehe mir oft die Classic Rennen aufm Ring anschauen. Aussterben tut die Liebe zu alten Autos nie.

crunch punch bin auch grundsätzlich gegen VAG. Jeder fährt was er halt mag, aber die Treffen bestehen fast nur aus VAG...ein bisschen Abwechslung muss sein.

Thomas Bommer Bin selbst 17 Jahre alt und finde gerade Formel 1 echt langweilig. Leider ist LMP1 mit dem Abgang von Porsche jetzt ja auch uninteressant geworden. Aber persönlich ist für mich die Zeit von Anfang 70er bis Ende 80er die schönste was Motorsport angeht. Grade Anfang 70ger finde ich die Sportwagenprototypenrennen mega, grade LeMans also Porsche 917 gegen Ferrari. Und dann eben CAN-AM mit dem 917/10 und 917/30. und bei den 80gern natürlich Gruppe C und Gruppe B. Die Untershciedlichen, technisch interessanten Autos sowie auch die Rennen an sich spannend waren. Jeder Hersteller ging das gleiche Ziel mit anderen Motor/Antriebs Konzepten an, das macht es für mich super interessant.

ich habe einige komplette rennen gefunden auf youtube aber es fehlen wahnsinnig viele und ich würde die mir gerne wegen den erinnerungen nochmal gerne anschauen, falls ihr von laguna seca heartland park watkins glen oder summit point die rennen findet und mir postet wäre ich euch sehr verbunden, hatte die rennen damals live im fernsehen gesehen, bzw auf video, aber das ist leider alles nicht mehr da

naja quattro + turbo bringts :D würde ich sagen. Dieser 5 Zylinder turbo ist heute noch 30 jahre später ein motor der unglaublich viel Potenzial und Leistungsentfaltung hat. Und der Klang ist natürlich immernoch der geilste überhaupt.

When you consider the AUDI cars were 4 wheel drive. It really surprised me they were even allowed to race in a two wheel drive race class. That was like a naturally aspirated powered car to have to face a nitrous powered car. They tried a V6 turbo car in NHRA Pro Stock class which did not allow turbo cars. Another stupid point to make. It only caused a bunch hoopla. Probably sold more cars at the Buick dealerships. But really was a stupid comparison. Just a bunch of hype. They allowed this to create attention to their sport and race class.

@@syvergamerrc8614 The Stroh's Light Mercury Cougar was only a 4cyl Tirbo RWD. It beat the Audi. But the Audi is still my favourite if all time. I'm not American either, just think humility is nice. Actually there werent many V8s in that series. It was a mix of 4cyl turbo or V6 Turbos with some I5 turbo and v8 NA .
