1989 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution I w201 legendary and rare

The 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution is presented at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show. Its four-valve engine attains 143 kW (195 hp). The body modifications include a prominent, flat front spoiler, an enlarged rear aerofoil, and larger, prominently flared wheel arches. The interior is fitted with a mixed leather / checked fabric upholstery. The rear bench seats two passengers and are bucket type, while the driver can count on a battery of counters and the stopwatch. On the left side of the steering wheel, there is the control for adjusting the attitude which is adjustable. Within three months, 502 of these vehicles were produced painted in “metallic blue-black”. These vehicles were built to obtain homologation - a precondition for participation in motorsport. This model was highly successful in numerous races.
