This ‘89 team is one of my favorite ❤ Cubs teams of all-time. Obviously the 2016 World Series team is my favorite, but this one is probably #2. Greg Maddox and Andre Dawson were my two favorite Cubs when I was a kid.

How about finding and uploading this game between the Cubs and Cardinals on September 9, 1989? The Cardinals cut the Cubs lead in the NL East to 1/2 a game the previous day, beating the Cubs 11-8 after being down like 7-1. Pedro Guerrero and Terry Pendleton hit big home runs to destroy the Cubs that Friday. But thank God for Saturday.
