This footage is probably better than TVNZ have. The Organization Formerly known as the NZRFU should definitely do a VHS/BETA Search of New Zealand, Australian, South Pacific, UK, European broadcasters to acquire the best quality and unique footage.

I too was at this game sitting in the top deck of the Millard Stand. Noticed a few 'interesting' French players here. Carmanati, Cecillion, Roumat, Garuet. In Sep 2018 Marc Cecillon, the former French rugby captain who served seven years in prison for murdering his wife while drunk, has been ordered back behind bars after a night of drunk driving, violence and theft. It was a shame John Gallagher didn't have is best game with the boot. Wellington would've won by more.

I remember sitting under the Millard Stand for this game. One forgets what a loss Johnny Schuster was going early to league. Some outstanding touches in this game. Good era for Wellington.
