Thank you for this. I saw this show once when I was very little. Most of that trip is in my memories like a dream, as if it might not have actually been real.

I grew up in Cleveland until I was 5. I em ever going to sear world before we left in 1997. Everyone in Southern California doesn’t believe me when I say I went to sea world In Ohio. I remember this so vividly now at 27. I was probably there at 4 years old. How wild.

I remember a long time ago (1970's-early '80s) at Sea World Orlando, Killer Whales and Dolphins shared a stadium. Until Shamu Stadium opened in the early '80s. So, this is cool!

Kind of sucks that I have to fly all the way to California, Florida, or Texas to see Killer Whales. I want to see one so badly. If this was around, I would go there so badly. By the way I live in Chicago.

Sea world and the shamu show very great show and very popular choice just too over processed made it a loss. Sea world so special.

Too bad the Cleveland Ohio location of SeaWorld had to be shut down. I get that it's harder to attract visitors here, but I think it was because the economy went downhill.
@MrMachinegun218 жыл бұрын
It was mostly due to the changing ownership of the sister park geauga lake. When Six Flags bought it they also bought Sea World Ohio. They changed it to a wildlife section of geauga lake then known as Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. After 3 seasons Worlds of Adventure was bought by Cedar Fair who then closed the wildlife section and changed the WOA's name back to geauga lake. It really is a shame that this park closed.

Such a good time. You can thank the very few activist nuts for shutting places like this down. As usual, the very few try to control the majority. So sick of it. Just like the very few protest sports teams named after Indians. Never mind the majority of Indians who support the teams. When Sea World closed, Geauga Lake's days were numbered. GL was a great park. But there was nothing in the area to bring people to Aurora. I think with the shopping center that is there now with all the housing in Twinsburg, Solon, and Reminderville, add a resort, a make shift beach on the lake, and a few hotels, this park would be a head of Cedar Point.

I wonder why they stopped Seaworld Ohio? Do you know what kind of orcas resided there? I think that their show pool is a lot smaller than Orlando
@kdobbs13 жыл бұрын
Cedar fair took over Six Flags then began taking things away slowly. Six flags in Ohio became Geagua Lake. It’s a really sad story tbh.
@LadyRed_3 ай бұрын
SeaWorld sold the park to Six Flags across the lake because the city of Aurora wouldn't let them build rollercoasters (?) Then Six Flags took over and cut the animal park (old sea world area) to save money. Shouka was sent to the California Six Flags and then was eventually moved to SeaWorld San Diego. Then later on the land was turned into Wild Water Kingdom. They refurbished the dolphin touch tank to be a pool. Then that shut down after Cedar Fair stepped in and bought Geauga Lake.
