1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 - Forever an Icon

I've owned a '86 early FJ62, 3F carburetted, high roof(Sahara) 3 rows of seats for 23 years now, in Oz. The first time I drove it, it felt like it told me "you can abuse me I won't brake, I'm effen tough!", it proved to be right. It's now set up for camping, it's done 680.000 km, I changed oil every 5000km! Still going strong. Its been just about all over the continent/island and am going on a 7000 or so km trip again in a couple of days through the outback. It had a blown power steering hose the other day, wonder if that's a warranty case(LOL), anyway, still used daily and not for sale. The best, most reliable, strongest vehicle I've owned. Its nick name is "Thirsty"!

This is one of the vehicles I own that I actually enjoy driving. It has a lot of cargo room. I was able to fit a full size fridge inside with the tail gate and glass closed , and also a lot of building material.

4:19 I don't know much of FJ60 and FJ62 (petrol ones), but some of the diesel brothers (HJ60, HJ61) came with a 3rd raw in the high models, long before the 80 series came along
