@@OldDancingVideos What’s even more bizarre about it is that 5 years earlier, at the 1984 Professional World Cup in New York, Corky and Shirley, as their first major world-class competition together, took 4th place right behind Sycamore/Weavers. I guess that’s why it’s shocking to me - but being here in the US, I didn’t know their comp record throughout Europe. That’s why I love watching all your videos. It’s like connecting me to a past I understood by name only, but had rarely gotten to see them dance. People like Fletchers, Horst and Andrea, etc.... you’re filling all the blanks for me! Hehehe

I know for me too, growing up in South Africa we heard about all these people but never ever got see them unless they came to judge. I can’t even imagine how lucky dancers are today having the internet and every competition and lecture or talk at their fingertips and so much for free too. Thanks for watching xxx
