That's weird...that's what I am spending my Thanksgiving Day doing too...1982 Chevy Cube Van (Pain in the ass!) getting my hubs off ! Good luck Jesse...and thanks for the video GR..Liked Subscribed !

Unfortunately I also have a 1990 Chevy K3500 Dually, but I am needing to replace the rear wheel studs. I was hoping to see how to get to them with your video as I can not find a video about how to replace them, but since the hub was not taken apart, you still cant get to the studs with the way you left the hub. This truck has to be back on the road before the end of the week and I still dont even know where to start.

Good luck I tried to take it apart. I suspect you might have to replace the entire hub. Studs, bearings and all.
@WH6FQE2 жыл бұрын
@@ElmwoodGR I figured it out, It was actually really simple. The studs themselves hold the drum to the hub. Once the studs are removed the hub and drum are two separate pieces. Thats why the splines on the studs are so long, they go through the drum and the hub when they are seated.

Great video except you don't tell us what kind of rear end it is. Is it a Dana 70? If I don't know, it doesn't help me.
@yopyop39333 жыл бұрын
Well, DANA 70 must be... Unless is a chevy 14 bolt ,, but the procedure is the same..

These are the worst brakes I have ever dealt with ,,, absolutely necessary to have help from a friend with strength. Its like putting a jigsaw puzzle hanging in mid air,,, I don't recommend messing with them. I did it once and swore never again. But a seal blew and I am now into one side again,, I asked for help this time. This is a GIANT PITA
