1990 Suzuki RM250 Test Ride

My buddy just picked up this low hours 1990 RM250. The bike is all original except for fresh tires, Renthal bars and grips. This bike worked way better than I expected! The engine had decent power with good low end torque feel (easy to pull wheelies) and low vibration level. Jetting was clean. The suspension was plush and had good damping. The seat was comfortable and the foam was still in good shape. The ergo's were tight for my 6' 2" height and the seat to footpeg distance was short. The disc front brake was not so strong but the rear had plenty of power. Overall the bike far exceeded my expectations and was fun to ride!

Awesome video man. I just bought an 1990 Kawasaki Kx250. New piston, New cylinder. FMF pipe and Pro circuit 304 silencer. It hauls ass. There is just something about the old 2 stroke man. Love it.

Got a 2004 RM250 nothing compares to turning and handling. Plus they feel super lightweight. Way better than the YZ250 (notchy shifting and vibrating) even new YZ250s same crummy shifting, vibration and a horrid aluminum frame. *KTM* is where it is at now steel frame and counter balancer.

Values of restored vintage bikes are all over the place. I would guess it could be worth $2500~4500 depending on condition of the bike.

Selling other bikes most likely getting a KTM 250 XC-W TPI - the quality of them can't be matched (the big 4 abandoned any 2 stroke development and those ALUMINUM FRAME spars DIG in your knees regardless of knee guards.).
