I always loved the 250 class - So Pure, focused & Uncluttered Higher mid-corner speeds than the 500's, and requiring drafting skills and real racecraft . . . . it was where future legends learned perfected their skills These national series were bursting with 'just-yesterdays' former GP machinery too Love It In 86 I had an Ex-Stéphane Mertens Chevalier Framed Formula II YPVS racer, that used to 'blow my mind' with its power, grip & braking . . . . . till Steve Parrish (on a Superstock FZ) knocked me off at Craner's in morning free practice, and made the bike financially irreparable! F*ck you Stavros - You owe me a Beer ! :-)

This is all 'just' before Aprilia entered the World 250cc class with their exquisite racers - and dominated the GP's, National's, Customer Bike's and Privateer results sheets Long Live the TZ's Though :-)
