Just wanna add, be carefull riding like that on the highway guys, we lost a fellow rider who was around the age of 20 like 2 months ago, also riding an MT 07. Its easy not to spot you when you weave between the cars like that, especially at night. Ride safe.

But Similarly same thing happen to me That we was illegally riding sports bike because my friend was 11 and i am 13 now its been 2 years now since that happen so what exactly happened that we were racing in serious traffic and talking through bluetooth i was going on like 100 - 120 kmph and he was overspeeding alot he was going on like 160 - 190 kmph so i speed up to follow him and that moment i saw a truck coming to highway blindly so that bad moment my bluetooth battery died so i tried to stop the truck but it was already late my friend crashed into the truck and his helmet idk how but it broke and his head got injured and got internal bleedings so he died at the moment soo i dont even have a phone at that moment yeah but i got jailed for illegally driving bikes and got out of the jail after 8 months (by good behavior) soo i have his photo too. when ever i see it. I feel him near to me and the photo of my friend laying in a coufin!

H S A P Their choices could have been better, but the 07 is an great learning bike. If the learner has motorcycle clutch experience, but is novice in slow-speed maneuvering, going 70-110 mph in a straight line isn’t always a complete death wish. After all, scaring yourself is how you learn 💁‍♂️

Bikes are more stable at speed. I'm not saying go 100 to feel safe. Especially if you're new. But after like 20mph bikes are so much more stable than anything below that. It's a lot of physics involved.

Do you use rear brake? Those wheelies are like straight to balance point lol I know a lot of people say the engine braking on the fz07 is strong enough to not use back brake but it wouldn't take much more to loop. I learned the hard way that covering the brake isn't the same as practicing using it

As a skilled an adept rider of 15+ years experience I can definitely say the MT07 is not a beginners bike. It's faster and more powerful than a vast majority of bikes on the roads, which are older bikes, cruiser bikes, etc. I regularly take my buddy's 1700cc harley to gapplebee's on a daily basis. They just don't have any power/top end which is normal for this engine size and type. So if top speed is what you're after you're wasting your time here. This bike is all about the 0-60. And they do launch super well and have amazing twisties capability, second only to the SV which is extremely similar in almost every way

Ehh, clutch keep your revs high and let clutch out real quick but smooth its easy to pop the wheel up on a Vtwin, but that shit is incredibly hard on the clutch. Im not a fan of maintenance so i keep it pretty mellow.

When the 07 came out it was called MT in Europe and FZ in the States. For 2018 they dropped the FZ name in the States so all 07s, 09s and 10s being imported are all under the MT designation

LostMoto brakes aren’t different. Handlebars are same just not rubber mounted anymore. Different plastics (uglier imo), vaguely different headlight. The changes are all cosmetic. The suspension is a bit more firm than the first gen FZ. The newer models are heavier since they all have abs braking. There was no FZ/MT-07 in 2014.
