We all know where the games were celebrated. Samaranch, the president of Olympic comitee, was catalan. Too many coincidences. On top of that, Vialli once said that Barcelona should have his boots in their trophy room instead of the European Cup. Being Vialli an oligarch that understood the bigger game better than most, I would bet on a rigged game

Wrong. European Champions Cup was the name, abbreviated European Cup, you are right tho with that was the first test year with Groups and more teams, but the name was still European Cup. It changed in season 1992-1993 to Champions League. 1991-92 was the tournament's last edition before it was re-branded as the UEFA Champions League.

@@Ellinon_Vasileus No, this was not the first year of the Champions League. That was the year after this. This was the last year of the European Cup (NOT the same thing as the UEFA Cup).

Correct !!! This was the first Champions League Saison !!! I remember the Interview with Kalli Feldkamp Coach from Kaiserslautern He was sad, because they lost against Barcelona in the last Minute ! He wanted desperatly come in to the Group Stage, because the Opportunity to reach the finals !
