This is the complete show which was filmed and aired in December 1991. Guests include Patti Loveless, Kathy Mattea and Clint Black. You will also see John's band playing in the barn and at the local concert. In attendance for the taping you will see John's two oldest children, in addition to the local residents of the Fort Belknap Reservation. The baby Jesse that is shown is a child of a local resident.

BRINGS BACK SO MANY FONF MEMORIES. FIRST TIME I HHEARD ABOUT JOHN DENVER WAS IN CAR TRAVELING TO HIS HOME ON A FARM IN NORTH CAROLINA. HE KEPT SINGING "COUNTRY ROAD" JUST LIKE JOHN MY BEAYTIFUL HUSBAND DIED WHEN HE WAS FORTY ONE. IM 83 AND I STILL MISS HIM SOOOO MUCH. WHY DO WE WE LOOSE THESE LOVED ONES SO YOUNG. MAYBE SOMEDAY WE WILL KNOW. 😢😢 MY SON KEVIN PLAYS JOHNS MUSIC ON HIS GUITAR. BEEN PLAYING SINCE HE WAS SIX YEARS OLD AND PLAYS ALONG WITH ME ON ACCORDION IN ELDERCARE FACILITIES WORSHIP SERVICES AND SMALL FAMILY GATHERINGS. Thank you for posting this, Sir. I am nearly 80 now and for many years used to sing Country Roads traveling across the Allegheny Mountains to get to my grandparents farm in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where I was born. I just changed "West Virginia" to "Pennsylvania". My heart soared with every mile. I could hear John's voice with every word. I know the angels in heaven are so happy. I grew up playing his music at 13 when my grandfather gave me his guitar. My father was in the Military and so we all traveling and as i seat in that back seat of the car I could see the stars of the night on clear nights and during the day all the landscapes and what mother would happen for me to see, still today I play his music, a lot older and the eyes growing dimmer, and my fingers, not as actual as it used to be, but I can still hum the beats and the guitar and whistle the tunes.

This is the first time I saw this special program. I'm so sad I missed it when it originally aired. The music, the message of friendship and love - all very heartwarming. I kinda choked up when Kathy Mattea sang the Christ Child's Lullaby while holding sweet little Jesse! I have her song on a two cd set, "A Celtic Christmas". Loved Clint Black's song about Santa Claus!
