Nice set of player action cards. With so many choices for collectors, I suppose it depends on what type of collector (more hobby enjoyment or more for investment) you are.

Yep, you can go either way. Or both, I suppose. It's a fun time to be a collector because you can find something you love for just about whatever price you want to pay.

just found a case of these. aren't there some Gold Rookies from this set that are valuable?

There were 26 in all, 12 in the first series, and 14 in the second. Bagwell is the best of the actual rookies, though there are cards of Ryan and Henderson, too. The cards were numbered with a BC prefix (so Bagwell is BC14, for example), but some of the first-series cards got out the door with a continuation of the base set numbers instead -- #s 265-276. Those numbered variations seem to be pretty scarce.

@@WaxPackGods that's extremely helpful information. Is it possible to hit Bagwell in Series 1? I watched a series 2 break and saw Bagwell rookie there too.

Some have gone up ( especially Rickey Henderson) & some have gone down. All depends on the card market & player popularity.
