Ha, great stuff. Funny to see they put tape over the Isuzu mark on the top of the engine @1:53

Brilliant, thanks for posting that Rick. The interior might be a bit (a lot) dated now, and they take a bit of imagination and TLC to keep them going (and stopping) but the engine is still as sweet as a nut and its still the fastest point to point front wheel drive car out there. Buy one now because prices are heading north. However a Oligarch’s frozen bank account won’t be parting me from my ‘91, Norfolk Mustard, 55, 000 mile SE. The grin factor is priceless.

Like the Elan, even okay with the engine. It's the GM interior that ruins it for me.

Sadly it's overpriced (3x the price of the NA Miata), wrong wheel drive, and a not-so tuneable engine.

Elan was 1.3 x the price of an MX5 in the UK when launched and had significantly more performance in every department - it was in fact sold too cheaply for its build complexity and level of engineering. Yes, set new standards for FWD and was significantly faster and safer than RWD competitors. Engine was turbo so easily tuned with ECU prom change for additional 30-40bhp.
