1991 LPBT Robby's Open Entire Telecast

The date was April 11th 1991! Here is the first LPBT telecast for the 1991 Spring swing. It takes place at Four Seasons Bowl,a center located in Alexandria, Louisiana. The five gals here vying for the 1st place check are Aleta Sill, Donna Adamek, Sharon Owen-Todd, Leanne Barrette, and Lorrie Nichols. ,

Donna Adamek and Lorrie Nichols have bowled some exciting matches

My grandson was just a couple years younger than Donna and would often see her when she was a teenager at Garey Center Bowl in Pomona, Calif. where she frequented. He thought Pam Ducek was cuter and a great junior bowler, but couldn't figure out Donna. Later he heard she was of the Billie Jean King variety, then she was managing Victor Bowl in Victorville, Calif., then she was livi... and so on. Pam always remained cute. Pomona had some very good young bowlers like Bobby Fenton and Ty Critchlow.

@@irishpogi Yes! And as great and deserved as her accomplishment was, her name isn't very well-known as are others. Shame that. Fun fact not many consider is that both firsts to reach the million dollar mark for men's and women's bowling were left-handed.

She left the tour in 1993. Her injuries were so bad, she had to retire from competitive bowling. Her last telecast was the 1992 National Doubles event.

She retired from bowling due to injuries. With resin balls being introduced, her power advantage was taken away.
