Just snagged my own from the same year! It's an awesome car. It runs amazing once it's all warmed up. I love this car and I'm hoping to take care of it for as long as possible

@@sidneyhill7064 has around 155k right now. It belonged to an old man who didn't beat it too hard, so I consider myself lucky. Needed alot to get it up and going but now it has new brake lines, new radiator and hoses, new sparkplugwires as well as the plugs. There was an issue that I didn't state here where I said it had to warm up, turns out it was a bad relay that wasn't sending a good signal to the gas pump. Still needs a new master cylinder since the rear brakes don't have any pressure. Minimal rust too which suprised me because it is here in Chicago

@@th3SyLvEsTeR ---wait...the worse is coming = guaranteed = bad stems and seals = bye = $4k. min. IF you can locate who will do it...most won't touch it. I'm an old man, I know. Oh, the old man did not beat it too much...time did.

I have a 1990 300E and love it. It's in better shape than the one shown here...near flawless........however, Be prepared as the W124 series from 1986- 1995 while considered the best cars ever built by Mercedes they have two unavoidable issues. Number 1 = valve guides and seals need replacing approx. every 70-80K miles. German mfg. had its issues with rubber seals and gaskets (poor life) and this is number 2 issue. I just put $5K into mine for a complete valve job, motor mounts, transmission mount and misc. I've had it for nine years and have put ~$14K into it to make it a reliable ride as a "round about." I could not let her go to the bone yard. She was maintained to perfection by the #1 and only owner and I was not about to say goodbye. It's a classic car and I've paid less than $2K a year to let her live. Hell, I'm old too and I don't want to be euthanized either.

I just bought one for $1000. Solid frame and body but has some gasket issues. Hopefully I can sort it out without gushing out too much money

@@Cruiser203 Sorry pal...but cars have literally hundreds of parts that will fail with age. It's one after another and now the after is a min. of $500-1,000. If a car sits for long periods of time all the mechanicals fail...they have been in a coma and can't awake and perform. I know...been there with cars and boats. DUMP it for parts.

+1 .. Thanks @MikeJohn. .. The Mercedes Ad Tag line of the day was; "The best or Nothing" .. Our #1 condition, 1-owner hand-me-down, '94 E320 C124 Coupe (from an uncle, R.I.P.) is a Road Trip moster beyond belief. .. An understated 80 -90Mph. .. .. Colorado & western states the posted highway speed is 75Mph; With one eye open its 85-90Mph all day long.. The Coupe is library quiet!

Cup holder on an American Mercedes means the driver was left handed and you could tell he was one for putting a cup holder there There was a large group of left handers imagine driving on the wrong side of the road they all must of been born left handers
