How does this not have a ecm lol. It's got fuel injection controlled by a computer and multiple sensors to adjust fueling for the boost it's receiving. All while being micro sized. It's actually advanced for it's time. This is much more advance than a Volkswagen bus.

I didn't actually. I saw Japanese. Which would make sense... considering this is a Japanese company. ( That's not Hebrew ) But that doesn't change my point. Of course I know this vehicle wasn't designed or assembled in the U.S., but it was physically located in the U.S when this video was shot. I know Subarus aren't an American made brand. I was just saying, there's at least one here currently. Or, as of the new year. I'd imagine there are other Sambars in the U.S. still. Thus, "why import?" Pretty rad micro bus though, huh?

you should look into "expel". it's basically a clear vinyl wrap for certain parts of your vehicle (front and rear bumpers, doors) that acts as a second skin. I've seen people try to charge thousands but it's honestly just clear plastic, I'm sure you can source cheap material and find adequate pricing for labor. really like the van. didn't know what the hell it was but.i seen "Subaru" and had to click! way ahead of its time too with the features (symmetrical AWD, ecvt, supercharger)

Just stumbling into the whole KEI craze. Was hunting down the mini-trucks (Honda Acty, Suzuki Carry, Subaru Sambar) as an alternative to a side-by-side when I came upon the whole line of microcars (hatchbacks/sports cars, and minivans). Fascinating, while they appear like overgrown go-karts, great for inner-city driving not great for highway driving. An area where American car manufacturers have only flirted (Chevy Chevette, 1960s vans), building small cars well, but have long since abandoned. Sadly it is totally in their (U.S. automotive manufacturers) toolbox but they are focused on building few models with the highest profit.
