This PM was defeated in 1996. He was selected not elected in 1991 This PMs dead body was left unnoticed and unattended by the Congress party in 2004. During this PMs regime , Congress lost ALL state elections including in Maharastra in 1995 that it never lost before. So , no this PM was not popular. But you people go by Pappu twitter handle that think people are still uninformed living in 1960. Today most people are literate , educated , well informed thats the reason , Congress is dead and Bjp is ruling 18 states and Modi is no 1 in the world let alone in India in power and popularity.
