@@chuckfarias4403They weren't outdated when this race was ran. I've been on a Yamaha 500 but not on a M X track. Guys have to be in top shape especially to run up front. Keeping those big bores on the track and staying ahead is unimaginable demanding.

Jean-Michel Bayle is the smoothest rider I’ve ever seen. He gave everyone fits. He looked like he wasn’t trying very hard. Fun to watch. Damon Bradshaw is the opposite of Bayle. He was an aggressive and hard rider. When he put it together he was so fun to watch, but some days he was a disaster.

I remember the old stories about Bayle at the Honda practice track's because he didn't practice much he'd always be off free riding and playing while other teammates were busting there ass on track to try to be as good as him.

Paul Malin usedto ride at the ACU Schoolboy motocross nationals that i raced at he was in the Experts while i was in the Inter100s, he was older and in the last class before going into adult racing but he would go straight into adult racing with Team Green Factory kawasakis.

I got to see him win the Seattle sx in '91, also was at Washougal when he broke his arm, ending a serious hot streak ( did not actually see him crash)
@abinadvd Жыл бұрын
More the bike was powerfull , more JMB was better. He was not gentle with others pilots. Many american hated him because he was arrogant with them, but everyone saw many times "How can he do that ? Here , the other pilot seems not runing.". Then he went to motogp and was not anymore interested in motocross because he liked to have fun with his bike more than work and work to be at the top. For Jobé , don't imagine he was under americans, it not so simple. Each american pilots who tried "grand prix" said , "It is not so easy to beat them on their tacks each time". Jobe had a championship to play , he didn't care about americans and didn't take risk. Winnig a championship is not winning a race, a bad crash and "Bye bye championship". Now , there is many very good pilots in many countries. MXGP is very hard to win even for te "best".

@Hanibul_Lecktor2 жыл бұрын
🇺🇸 tracks don't allow as many practice laps like they do across the pond. Glen Helen is the pinnacle of MX tracks, that's just facts. A gnarly rutted up track doesn't make it better. Slower, more dangerous, less consistent racing vs groomed perfectly so tire selection and suspension is more even across all riders.
