I remember in 1991 in Chicago, this game MIAMI-KANSAS CITY switch to HOUSTON-NYJETS because of the Dolphins-Chiefs blowout, so they switch to Oilers-Jets, which is a close game.

I remember this game. Sammie fumbled again in the end zone to lose the game the next week vs oilers. And as I recall this game they had a split screen with the Clarence Thomas hearings right in the middle of the game

I was at that game, it may have been Shula's worst loss at the time. Even though he didn't have a good game, it was impressive to see how quick Marino would read the defense and throw.

Kumerow was the worst. What a whiff on that pick. I’d say Hampton was the best out of that group. Ship started but was unspectacular. Bosa was always injured and didn’t show the talent his sons have displayed.

Mark Higgs was questionable with a thigh muscle injury, but the Dolphins let him come into the game with 30 seconds left? Why didn’t Shula just start Higgs in place of Sammie Smith?

If Shula & Mike Robbie had ever let someone other than themselves be in charge of drafting and personnel decisions Marino might have ended up in another Superbowl. I think they hit on maybe 1 or two picks after they took over the GM position just before Marino got drafted. They basically rode the coat tails of Marino-Duper-Clayton, the defense was a joke for a long time and they never had a decent running back in that era
