@@Weebs82589 and Coble was 💯 wrong. Tommy Lasorda, Jack Buck, and Tim McCarver were all right on this one. That's two Cardinals guys and a Dodgers guy.

The way Glavine bounced back from that first inning was impressive and spoke a lot about his mental makeup. I watched this series as a 12 year old and was so excited when the Twins won. I only wish Minnesota sports fans had something to celebrate more recently than 33 years ago.

They really should have replayed Gant/Hrbek at 1st base a 38th time.
He was correct at 5:26 Referring to Terry Pendleton who had the most hits in the series with 11. Lemke was second with 10 hits Knoblauch, Harper & Gant each got 8 hits.

That double play in the first inning. All it really did was help Glavine’s ERA as both runs in the inning were unearned.

How bad is the CBS broadcast compared to the ABC one of the '87 Series. Hokey nonsense from noted voice mail leaver Pat O'Brien to open, then WAY past retirement time Jack Buck sleepily croaking his way through the play-by-play, McCarver was his usual great self but he needs someone to play off of. The whole thing felt stale and the Minney crowds reverted to their normal Midwestern reserve...no sense of occasion or excitement just like game 1 which I remember watching with my friends (I was in high school in Mpls) we were like what WRONG with the damn crowd it's the Wold Series mofos! Watching games 1-2 great for insomnia.

The braves should have won this one, they made some costly mistakes. First the drop fly ball, then Sid Bream not advancing to third and finally a bad call on Gant at first. It seems that the Twins were destined to win. Not always the team with the better offense or pitching wins, and this game is an example of that. Great game pitched by Glavine.

I'm glad MLB has cracked down on hostile baserunning. Violence shouldn't be an acceptable way to prevent opponents from making plays.

That didn't result in the loss for them lol. Coaches change pitchers all of the time, different scenarios play out, etc. The pitching matchup was Tom Glavine vs.....Tapani? THAT was the Twins game 2 starter? The Braves should have won that by plenty.
