This looks like a game that could have been well suited to porting to SNES, with its colourful gameplay, regular use of three overlapping parallax layers, some voice samples and so on. It would probably need to cut down some of the enemies and other sprites a little, just to avoid slowdown and flickering, but outside of that I think it would be all good.

データイーストのSTG空牙シリーズ第二作目、ウルフファングですね。ロボットアクションSTGで肩武器、白兵戦武器、脚の選択で64通りの機体名があり機体破壊されると脱出して戦うといったおっさん心をくすぐる硬派なゲームでした。 海外版だと削除されてしまっているのがちょっと残念ですがゲームの面白さは変わりないですね、とても難易度高いですがやり込みがいあります。

データイーストのゲーム、空牙シリーズ第２弾ウルフファングは懐かしいですね。 しかしながら、データイーストはお嬢様特急(？)と言うギャルゲーと言うか。軟派路線 に走ったせいか、イメージダウンに陥り。挙句の果てには、会社は倒産してしまった。 ウルフファングの版権は他社に引き継がれている、プレイステーションやセガサターン への移植版が存在されている事を。

I feel like the American version of this game is much easier than the Japanese version, I'm playing this on the Saturn which is the only port (and a rerelease for the N switch that it's just the Saturn game) and if the game was in English I could understand what's going on, instead in watching a walkthrough to confirm that.
