If marvel could secure constant releases at big retailers like target, Walmart, toys r us, etc of sets like Metal and Masterpieces....marvel card values would explode. Alot of the sports collectors want to buy in to Marvel, they just can't find packs that aren't marked up 2x.

Part of the fun of collecting back then was going to comic stores and buying a couple packs, opening them, and collecting the cards. Sure, you'd get doubles, but every so often you'd get cards you didn't own before. I have two sets of 1992's and two sets of 93's. I was curious and went into my local store today and they're selling unopened boxes for $900 bucks?! And none of the boxes for marvel cards are being opened! They're just remaining sealed so you can't buy individual packs.

Hello, say I just purchased a binder of cards it has 91-93 marvel and X-Men Cards. I payed 100 for binder it has 450 + cards. Was that a good deal?

I bought this set as a kid pack by pack put them in a binder and still have them today. I have a beta Rey bill misprint with his name missing. All of them look like they just came out of the pack. What do you think beta Rey bill misprint would be worth?

I am 9 cards away from completing the entire checklist + Spectra + Lost Ladies in PSA 9. Most fun I’ve ever had in the hobby completing this run. My mind is still blown about #100 Checklist. I have 1 of the 20 PSA 9s and feel extremely lucky. But some cards, even in PSA 9, just don’t come up (Fury, Meggan, Blob, Northstar).

There's a big difference between auction prices, and buy it now...the charts are APR, most based on auction sales...so it's not accurate, people usually get half the actual worth of a card or less on auctions.. that's why I never do them👌
