18:40 On Thursday 27 February 1992 TV One (now TVNZ 1) carried live coverage from the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) of a Cricket World Cup match between England and the West Indies. Coverage of the first innings commenced at 4.15pm but took a break at 6pm for One Network News, Holmes and Sale of the Century before returning to the MCG for the final stages of the first innings (at 7.30pm). An episode of The Bill, entitled "A Friend in Need", followed at 8pm and then it's back to the MCG for the second innings of the England v West Indies match (at 8.30pm) with a 10 minute break for the late news, i.e. Tonight with Anita McNaught, at 10.30pm. Before the improvement of Sky Sport, TVNZ's Cricket World Cup 1992 coverage from Australia wasn't uninterrupted because of TV One's scheduling of the latest news, current affairs, a game show and some episodes of Coronation Street and The Bill! Correct me if I'm wrong.
