I am a lazy guy when I got room to use power tools. My demmel tool has 180 grit flap disc that would snap that rust right out of them axles, Glad to see you get it done but what are you going to do to prevent the rust from coming back? Good video enjoy restoration videos.

No power tools for this as I can’t risk taking material off. That’s why I’m using aluminum to remove the rust, it’s softer than the axle but harder than the rust. Together with a solution containing some mild phosphoric acid to help it break down the rust without causing any major caustic reactions on the piece I’m restoring. Once it is done it will get sealed up and polished, thank you for watching and commenting Randy
