I rebuilt the handle on my Tacoma tailgate with jb weld. It works great 😌. Also I’ve replaced both door handles because of cracks. And I reinforced both handles with jb weld before I put them in. Trick is don’t yank on them hard especially when it’s cold outside. I think they will last a long time. But I have reinforced the old ones with jb weld as well. If the new ones should break.

great video, I am missing the red clip that attaches to the rod does anyone know where i can get replacement clips if not where did you purchase your handle cause it looks like it came with new clips thanks in advance

You should be able to match them up at ACE hardware, Homedepot or Lowes...
