sounds kinda normal rattle from my experience with 20v... but then again we only get ron97 instead of 100

On my phone it sounds like a usual 20v, vvti pulley can cause rattle too. The iacv issue has most likely had a restricter put in the top pipe to help with warm idle issues hence why it dies being cold. Iacv issues are very common on 20v and new aren't available as far as I'm aware.

Anyone here who knows much about these engines? I'm thinking of swapping either this *silver top or black top 4AGE* into a 97 Corolla. Currently on 5AFE, 5 speed manual which is super fun to drive but not fast. Looking to get more power but stay N/A. Which of the two A series engines is better?

Hi, nice video (as always), cool car :) Btw, of course there was also hatchback version of the car - it's called Corolla FX GT Sold only in Japan with this 20v 4AGE, but the overall look from outside was quite simillar to the euro/ausdm version :)
