Welcome back to Project 93, where we're tackling Canada's worst dirt bike, the 1993 Honda CR250! In this episode, we're diving deep into the restoration process, focusing on the heart of the bike - the Pipe and Silencer.
First up, we're addressing those unsightly dents in the Pipe and Silencer. Using a special tool, we're removing dents with precision, bringing back the smooth contours of these crucial components.
Next, it's time to sand the finish back to a smooth and uniform surface. Say goodbye to those scratches and imperfections as we prepare the Pipe and Silencer for their transformation.
But here's where things get really exciting - we're applying a finish never before seen on any dirt bike to this day: Cold Bluing. This unique process not only restores the original luster but adds a sleek, modern touch that sets Project 93 apart from the rest.
Of course, we can't forget about performance. That's why we're repacking the silencer, ensuring optimal exhaust flow for maximum power on the trails.
Finally, it's time to put it all back together. Watch as we reinstall the Pipe and Silencer, completing the transformation of Canada's worst dirt bike into a true off-road powerhouse.
Stay tuned for more updates on Project 93 as we continue to breathe new life into this iconic 1993 Honda CR250. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe to follow along with the journey!

I totally thought that the silencer was going to have no packing whatsoever, the pipe looks really good. I am reminded of your shock oil explosion each time I see the oil stain on the wall.

The wall still cracks me up!! Don't fix it! Just leave it there for all to see. I have black spots on my garage wall where I revved up the bike and it blew a bunch of black spooge everywhere. Another great video! I like the way the pipe looks.

I think it really could make any bike have that “pop”. Or just kinda bring it together different then a chrome pipe can.

Yeah, pipe looks good man. Not sure if I've seen anyone use gun bluing on a pipe before but I could be forgetting, interesting.

Great idea with the rust bluing on the pipe and nice job the dent removal. The faded stickers on the silencer let the overall clean looks of the CR down IMHO. Maybe FMF has replacement stickers? Love the progress so far!!

That’s funny I have been looking for a replacement sticker. Just hard to find really. We will keep searching or simply remove it and polish.. maybe one up with something

Really cool! Any chance this might also work on aluminum or does it need metal to react?
@Dirtbikerepair

It’s the carbon in the steel. But there is a product that works on aluminum but it’s different
