One of the best seasons the Chiefs ever had for sure, and if Montana had not gotten hurt, Chiefs might have ended up in the Super Bowl this year.
@mikefabian85577 жыл бұрын
My man DAVE KREIG was there & standing tall against the Bills in the title game precisely BECAUSE Joe M. was a bit too "brittle" & Schottenheimer, and Montana himself, knew it.... Dave did his best vs. the Bills in the 2nd half, driving them for the Marcus Allen TD, etc....
@jasonwalker90915 жыл бұрын
Marcus had his best season especially when he scored against Al Davis and his former team the Raiders his 100th touchdown in Week 5 and he ran all the way to Canton. 😊 he became NFL Comeback Player of the year and along with Montana they were a dangerous duo. Espically with Kimble Anders Derrick Thomas and Neil Smith. And Marcus owned Al Davis and the Raiders when he was on the Chiefs and the rivalry became very personal and bitter it became hard hitting and running, but it's always been that way since the 60's in the AFL days😊

What's crazy is that the Montana Magic comeback against the Oilers was the Chiefs' last postseason win until Alex Smith guided them to a victory over the Texans in last seasons' Wild Card Game. Ironically, their last two playoff wins came against both of Houston's NFL franchises. I also find it crazy how Kansas City won just one playoff game between the Montana and Len Dawson eras. That one came in 1991 against the LA Raiders and they barely won that game, 10-6, because the Raiders committed six turnovers with Todd Marinovich behind center. If you don't know who that is, watch the Marinovich Project.
@Hangryoldman4 ай бұрын
Todd got blamed for everything. How about go back and watch the games he played. He had dropped passes , dropped passes that got picked , fumbles by receivers that somehow he got blamed for. Sure he wasn't all that good , but it was the cast around him more than himself that cost the raiders 3 or 4 wins.

The Andy Reid Chiefs have been a lot of fun to watch; unfortunately age is closing the window and its rebuild time, most of the Defense needs replacing; it was terrible in 2017. If Mahomes is too good of a QB 2nd year it will make it a bit harder to give him a defense.

I really hope the Chiefs stay playoff contenders: DONT FIRE ANDY REID for a badly staffed Defense!! His Success is SO IMPORTANT to the NFL's Future watchability; being innovative learning from College where the game is always, always evolving! NFL Coaches insist on complex passing mostly using the same or similar plays, which 99% of college QBs can't do; which is the whole reason College is Innovative is they don't HAVE Brady, Manning, Brees; (All of whom weren't even top 5 until their 4th year and weren't GREAT until they turned 30!). Why do you think Reid's Chiefs former Off Coordinator Doug Pederson's Eagles hung 41 Points in a Superbowl with a backup QB??!! Watch what happens when another team pays him 20 Mill and forces him to run the Old West Coast Offense; its going to be Brock Osweiller all over again. WE ALL need Andy Reid to stay in KC lighting up scoreboards so the league can promote his assistants and make the NFL a much more exciting league. I'm pulling for you, Kansas City.
@G0Chiefs6 жыл бұрын
I like Andy but he has gotten predictable , and he needs to lat the players be the stars not his play calling. He reminds me of Marty in that aspect. And lets hope we never see that option play on critical 3rd downs with Mahomes as QB. And yes, fix the defense so we can take advantage of all the young talent we have.
