When NASCAR was REALLY NASCAR. OMG it almost brings tears to my eyes to think about these days.

It's hard to fathom that 10 days after this race, Davey Allison would be gone after the helicopter crash. 10 days. 10 RIP Davey Allison

1:27:27 - "Earnhardt's seventh, or rather, Schrader's seventh in the points, 350 behind Dale Earnhardt, so he only gave him five." R.I.P. to Bob Jenkins, the man who introduced an at-the-time eighth grader's five seconds of TV fame. Sadly, two thirds of the best TV booth in NASCAR has now passed away.

Ned jarrett, Best nascar announcer ever and a great driver as well And same for Benny Parsons. Best Anouncing team they ever had. Back when NASCAR was still good, and the paint jobs were all great.Dale Earnhardt best driver ever.

Was there that day and let me tell ya, it was hot. Even us floridians cooked that day because of the humidity, thank goodness for plastic spray bottles, we had a cooler full. Everybody was beggin for a spritz but mostly only the ladies got one, followed by a light dousing of their tshirts.....oops.

2 Dales, 2 Legendary NASCAR racers. Dale Jarrett and Dale Earnhardt. And if I'm correct Dale Jarrett and Bobby Labonte used to drive the Interstate Batteries 18 car right?
@vinewood82953 ай бұрын
Yes, Jarrett drove it first from 92 to 94 then Bobby Labonte from 95 to 03

Boy he damn near lost it there on that final lap, why was Daytona such a tough track for Dale over a long run I guess he just wore the car out. Had he driven for Hendrick Motorsports back then, cause in all honesty I think Rick's cars & engines were better than RCR's, I think Dale wins more than just 1 500 & more than 7 Winston Cups...

I remember this race well. Marlin #8 should/could have Won this race... If only 1 more caution free lap,
