Gene's second round pass must have been a 5:26 & not a 5:56. Brian & Dan were both faster than 5:56, but Gene still came back as the fast loser in the semi-finals. Based on Fred's run at 5:20 side by side with Gene in round two, it must have been a 5:26 for Gene with a typo from the person working graphics in the production truck. Clarifying here for anyone following all time records.

Why are all the Fords on the low side (right lane) on a course that recently drained 4 feet of water?? No lane choice? Deeper treads?

Gene Patterson is the reason why Bigfoot lost most of this season. the driver makes all the difference

Well, he was the #2 driver of Bigfoot behind Andy Brass, and he did still win four races, so he wasn't terrible. Towards the end of the season though, Dan Runte started getting better results driving an older truck.

There are a couple races out there like that from '99/2000 at the Ocala Florida Motorsports Park I believe.
