My farm truck that I have which is an 1985 squarebody chevy had a 6.2 that had been previously rebuilt with 30K went bad back in the mid-late 90s. My dad ended up finding a NON TURBO 6.5 since some of them then had issues with burning oil and the previous owner throught it was burning oil. My dad got a friend to swap it for him and it runs like a beast.

It has a 1994-2000 face & a 1998-2000 tailgate because of the style of the GMC emblem on it.

Beautiful truck, did that 6.2 come factory or did you or the previous owner swap it after the (possibly) original 6.5 turbo diesel blew?

The previous owner swapped in a 6.2. Yeah the original 6.5 broke the crankshaft

I have similar truck but in 1500 its a 5 speed with 6.2 diesel and is 5 lug

Being a 93 should have been a 6.5 truck.
