The announcers sound like such usc homers at before and during the game winning interception. Go Bruins!!

I was at that end of The Coliseum when Goodwin made that pick. Tom Kelly sounding all dejected after Goodwin's pick saying UCLA shoulda been penalized for celebrating...Yup...If SC scores Tom Kelly singing Fight On...LOL. Well, we got these KZbin classics to keep us Bruin fans happy these days... GO BRUINS !!!

I thought that was very unprofessional of the announcers to be such homers instead of reporters. I could understand if they were broadcasting on the USC radio station, but this was Prime Ticket. The commentator, Craig Fertig played QB at USC, but Tom Kelly never even went to school at SC.

Wow, UCLA Homer fans complaining about the USC Homer broadcast. You're probably thinking this is the live network broadcast of the game. It isn't. Going to the late 60's when I was old enough to know about football, there was always a Sunday re-broadcast of the USC and UCLA football games. ABC had the rights to the live TV broadcast on Saturdays, but both schools as well as the other big college teams had their own radio networks. Tom Kelly was the voice of the USC football radio network for many years. UCLA had their own homer network as well. Notre Dame had theirs and they had national coverage. This television re-broadcast combines the video footage, synced up to the radio broadcast. The video was probably taken from the ABC broadcast, which would have been made possible by arrangement between the school and the network. Therefore, Prime Ticket probably didn't produce the original broadcast. They put together what they were legally allowed to do and furnished a re-broadcast to their cable network. They had no obligation to provide unbiased game coverage. If UCLA had an arrangement with Prime Ticket, perhaps you would have heard Tommy Harmon or his replacement, instead. Lastly, for USC homer broadcasters, they were awfully complimentary of UCLA's performance. That's called keeping it classy.

This is one of the most remembered games I'll always will cherish. I remember seeing it with my neighbors and Father in our garage when I was a kid. We were all screaming and celebrating while we held up Roses running up and down our drive way. Neighbors probably thought we were nuts. Lol. Seeing my dad jumping up and down like a kid getting a Xbox for the first time and crying with joy, will be with me til the day I die. Great memories. What a Game. #BruWINS

I was sitting in the other (West) end zone thinking SC was going to pull it out and go to the Rose Bowl. Then Johnson threw that pick, I saw bedlam from the UCLA players coming out on the field. Because I was in the opposite end zone, I couldn't see the play clearly. I knew the ball went over to UCLA, but didn't know what happened until I got home and watched the replay. My all time favorite sports moment in over 50 years of watching UCLA football.
