Not long after this, Donnie Schmidt was not feeling well and was diagnosed with a form of blood cancer. He passed away about 2 weeks later. Try to enjoy life as much as you can folks. That is why we are here. Gotta give my RIP.

There was a simplicity to the sport (and quite frankly the 90s decade) that we've now lost.

Any idea what to do? Infront www.mxgp.com/inside-mxgp/infrontmotoracing/motocross won't change anything in 2021?

SX/MX has turned into a Monster Jam incarnate. Who will win: Red Bull, Monster, or Rockstar?

@@joshuasteel2109 Really? Why? Who would Karl Marx blame? The free market sponsors who brought money into the sport that free people created, or the government FIM? Now I am 100% against business in bed with government, and government regulating our businesses, but I can promise you, when you see business attacked, (even if they are economic fascists), that charge is coming from the philosophies of communism,----taught in our schools. Blame the government first. They own our dysfunctional economy now. They took it from us, and gave it to communist china. That---is well said. Not a recording.

Mid 80’s thru the late 90’s was a good time in the sport.
@EarthSurferUSA2 жыл бұрын
Actually, peaked in 85, and the sport started declining as bikes got more expensive because of the 1986 production rule for the USA only. Bikes doubled in cost by 1988 and tripled in cost in 5 years. The pro racing rolled on great, but that is when many kids could no longer afford a bike, and that is where the decline started, the mid 80's.

The tracks in Europe used to be SO good....now the tracks they have are boring man-made shit.

The faster 4-strokes made them faster also, like a dirty road racing course with jumps, (TT revival?). There is no such thing as "squaring off a corner" anymore,---just like road racing.

Great, thx. 1993 250cc and 1991 125cc my biggest wish. If you have it, please share it. Never see footage from those two years.

1:05:29. Budds Creek, and Emig, new on the 250, after winning the first moto, has his helmet off with a camera in his face by the time 2'nd crosses the line. I bet he took his helmet off as fast as he could. It's an old "rub". :)

We sure don't see that many fans at the races today. What changed?
