As much as I've listened to How Long Will They Mourn Me, never realized that the bassline is from One Way DON'T STOP EVER LOVIN ME. I knew Nelly's LUVEN ME was sampled with extra percussion added, but never realized Thug Life simply dropped out every other beat in the bassline. Wow 🤯 [SF]

On the Bob James Nautilus sample OC sampled it on the Demo song called On a Clear Day on a DJ Clear mixtape and the same sample that Kurious used, Paris used that same sample for his song Days of Old.

Jazz was really trying to be hip hop .. Coltrane was getting that sax to spit . Miles was on decks Ellington was special effects producer . Not day goes by I don't hear some jazz influenced music..

When I heard Bob James Sign of the Times I immediately went to Saturday by De La Soul. I was dead wrong. But when I heard Mass Production - Strollin’ I thought NWA’s Real Ni99@z Don’t Die. I was right on that one.
